Dickon Waterfield Named EDH President

DALLAS, February 28, 2024 – Employer Direct Healthcare (EDH), a digital health company focused on accessible specialty network solutions, bundled payments, and centers of excellence, today announced that Dickon Waterfield has been named President of the company. In this role he will oversee all Commercial lines of the business, including Sales, Client Success, Provider Networks, Consultant Relations, Marketing, and Partnerships. This promotion serves to formalize his position as one of the key executive leaders of EDH and recognizes his significant contributions to the organization.

Waterfield, a veteran leader at innovative healthcare companies like Big Health and WithMe Health, joined EDH in 2021 as Chief Strategy Officer, focused on developing the company’s second product, Cancer Care Direct. In June 2022, Waterfield transitioned to the role of Chief Commercial Officer where he developed a best-in-class commercial function that drove tremendous growth, hired countless exemplary leaders, and built out strategic new teams including Consultant Relations and Partnerships.

Waterfield’s promotion comes at a time of major growth at EDH, which facilitated more than 15,000 surgeries in 2023 alone and last year announced a $1 billion valuation.

As President, Waterfield will guide key initiatives like partnerships with national health plans, navigators, and other employer solutions to continue improving accessibility to high-quality surgery and cancer care through new channels. Under Waterfield’s leadership, the Commercial team will also build on the momentum of Cancer Care Direct, the industry’s first end-to-end oncology solution, as cancer cases are rising among working-age people and cancer is the top cost driver for employers.
