Just Announced: Employer Direct Healthcare matches its recent growth with new roles within its executive management team
Before taking the helm at Employer Direct Healthcare, John was a co-founder and partner at Dundon Capital Partners. Prior to that, he was on the executive leadership team of Santander Consumer USA, one of the nation’s largest non-bank consumer finance companies, and a Vice President within the investment bank at J.P. Morgan in New York. During his tenure at Employer Direct Healthcare, the company has grown its client base and membership at over 100% per year. Driven by personal and family experiences, John has an exceptionally strong passion for democratizing access to quality care in the U.S.
As Chief Strategy Officer, Dickon is responsible for product, strategy, M&A and innovation efforts for Employer Direct. In addition, Dickon leads the company’s oncology solution efforts. Prior to EDH, Dickon was Chief Commercial Officer at WithMe Health, a modern PBM backed by Oak HC/FT. Prior to WithMe, Dickon was the Chief Commercial Officer at Big Health, a digital therapeutics company focused on mental health. Dickon was responsible for the go-to-market strategy, establishing product positioning, pricing and market and channel prioritization. During his tenure, Dickon grew the business from 0 to 2.5mm covered lives. Customers included Citi, Comcast, CVS, Delta, EY, Google, Target, and The Home Depot. To accelerate growth, he launched a first of its kind, strategic partnership with CVS, which became the CVS Point Solution Management platform.
Prior to joining Employer Direct Healthcare as CFO, Jeff served as SVP, Controller at Santander Consumer USA and Director of U.S. Capital Markets Group and Financial Due Diligence at KPMG. Having experienced firsthand how stressful medical procedures can be on a family, Jeff has a keen appreciation for how Employer Direct Healthcare positively impacts the lives of our members by eliminating the stress and complexities of events like surgery, allowing them to focus on getting the care they need.
Prior to joining Employer Direct Healthcare as the CCO, Michael served as President and Chief Commercial Officer of Alight Solutions and as President of the HR and Benefit Services business of Conduent. He brings with him extensive experience serving as executive leader, board member and advisor for several growing healthcare and technology service firms. Michael is driven by the energy, innovation, and opportunity to do good in healthcare and has a keen ability for impacting growth.
As Chief Experience Officer, Fiona is responsible for all aspects of service delivery for Employer Direct, with a particular focus on member and provider experience. Prior to joining EDH as the Chief Experience Officer, Fiona led the service transformation of the customer experience delivery model at both bswift and Conduent as the senior executive responsible for all aspects of service operations and client delivery for employee sponsored benefits. Fiona’s organizational responsibility spanned over nine U.S. locations in addition to five global locations, with over 4,000 employees and over 200 benefits administration clients. Fiona is originally from Dublin, Ireland and attended the Dublin Institute of Technology, earning her degree in Marketing and Business Administration.
Doug Monkhouse serves as Employer Direct Healthcare’s General Counsel. Doug seamlessly navigates the complexities and challenges Employer Direct Healthcare faces as a disruptive and unconventional healthcare solutions company. Prior to his role at Employer Direct Healthcare, Doug practiced as an attorney in the Dallas office of Bracewell LLP, where his experience spanned a range of transactions and disputes across numerous industries, including healthcare, finance, technology, real estate, energy, and infrastructure. Doug earned his Bachelor of Science at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, and earned his Juris Doctor from Baylor University School of Law in Waco, Texas, where he graduated with honors.
Prior to his role at Employer Direct, Ravi served in various technology leadership positions at Santander Consumer USA, including Head of Innovation, Head of Digital Transformation and Director of Software Engineering. As CIO at Employer Direct Healthcare, Ravi leverages his vast experience in IT software development, program management, innovation and strategic consulting to impact performance and experience of Employer Direct Healthcare products. Ravi earned his MBA in General Management from University of Texas in Austin and holds a Bachelor’s degree with honors in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Maharishi Dayanand University, India.
In his leadership capacity, Ryan focuses on driving strategic relationships on both the network and client development sides of our business. Since joining Employer Direct Healthcare in 2014, Ryan has leveraged his extensive background in healthcare and business development to drive growth across all aspects of the organization. Prior to his role at Employer Direct Healthcare, Ryan held various roles in healthcare and business development.
Prior to joining Employer Direct Healthcare as the Executive Vice President of Network Development, Frank has spent over 25 years in a variety of health care roles with local and national health plans, and as a consultant for a variety of provider systems and startups in the US and UK. His executive positions with health plans have included Anthem, Humana, L.A. Care, Aetna, PacifiCare/United, Oscar Health and Molina. As EVP of Network Development, Frank will be responsible for the expansion and management of the company’s provider network. Frank received a Master of Business Administration in International Management, with Distinction, from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Stanford University.

David serves as the Chairman of the company, helping to guide Employer Direct Healthcare through its rapid growth.
Prior to co-founding Serent, David was co-CEO of ServiceSource (NASDAQ: SREV), a BPO and SaaS company that served many of the world’s leading technology companies. Under David’s leadership, ServiceSource grew revenues, profits, and employees organically by 10x and returned over 20x to its shareholders.
Previously David was a consultant at McKinsey & Company in London, Dublin and San Francisco, and an Operations Manager at HJ Heinz in Central & Eastern Europe.
David earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees in Business from University College Dublin, in Ireland and an MBA and MA from Stanford University.

John has served as the driving force behind the trajectory of Employer Direct Healthcare. During his tenure the company has achieved over 100% growth in membership since joining the company, with Employer Direct Healthcare now representing hundreds of employers and millions of members.

Prior to Employer Direct Healthcare, John worked in private equity as a co-founder and partner at Dundon Capital, as a corporate executive, as EVP at Santander Consumer USA and in investment banking at J.P. Morgan in New York.
Medical Advisory Board
Dr. Joshua Carter is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon. He completed his undergraduate degree with Summa Cum Laude honors at the University of Kentucky with a perfect 4.0 GPA. He earned a full-ride scholarship to attend the UK College of Medicine, where he graduated with Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) honors. He completed an adult joint reconstruction fellowship at the highly regarded OrthoCarolina Hip and Knee Center in Charlotte, NC.
Dr. Cook is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and senior partner at her private practice, Florida Joint Care Institute, where she has completed over 5,000 surgeries. After graduating summa cum laude from the University of Michigan with a degree in mechanical engineering, she attended the Health Sciences and Technology Program of Harvard and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, earning a medical doctorate degree from both institutions. She completed her orthopedic residency at the Harvard Combined Orthopedic Program where she was appointed Chief Resident and went on to complete the prestigious Insall Scott Kelly fellowship in adult reconstruction and sports medicine in New York City.
Dr. Cottam completed his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University. Afterwards, he returned to Texas to attend medical school at the University of Texas. His residency was completed at Nassau University Medical Center in Long Island, New York.
After leaving his residency, Dr. Cottam completed a two-year fellowship at the prestigious Mark Ravitch ⁄ Leon C. Hirsch Center for Minimally Invasive Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh.
Since fellowship he has performed thousands of bariatric surgeries and published groundbreaking research on inflammation in obesity and diabetes and bariatric surgery. He also helped pioneer both the sleeve and the single anastomosis duodenal switch as primary options for weight loss. He is an active teacher and has trained hundreds of surgeons from around the world.
Dr. Dean is a board-certified otolaryngologist, practicing full time in private practice in Fort Worth, Texas, specializing in ear and sinus disease and disorders of the eustachian tube. He attended Baylor University for his undergraduate studies in bioinformatics, Texas Tech for his medical training and completed his Otorhinolaryngology residency program and clinical fellowship in Otorhinology under Gale Gardner and Fred Stucker at LSU-Shreveport. Dr. Dean then went on to serve as an assistant professor at LSU-Shreveport, prior to starting his private practice in Fort Worth where he currently sees patients and serves as a clinical professor at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.
Dr. Garber completed his general surgery training at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. He went on to complete one of the first advanced laparoscopic surgery fellowships in the country at the George Washington University Medical Center.
Dr. Garber is the Founder and Director of the New York Bariatric Group – the largest bariatric surgery practice in the country with over 20 offices and bariatric surgeons in the New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.
He also serves as the Chief of Bariatric Surgery for the entire Catholic Health System on Long Island.
Dr. Hoehn founded the Bariatric Center of Kansas in 2002 and serves as the Medical Director of the Weight Loss Surgery Program at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission. Dr. Hoehn received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska, and graduated from medical school at Loma Linda University in Southern California in 1994. He completed his surgical residency and internship at the University of Kansas in 1999. Dr. Hoehn has been approved as an ASMBS Bariatric Center of Excellence Surgeon since 2006.
Dr. Steve Lucey went to Clemson University to play soccer where he won ACC and NCAA Championships. Following that, Dr. Lucey attended the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. His five year orthopedic residency was completed at Wake Forest Baptist Health in Winston-Salem.
Following his residency, Dr. Lucey had the privilege of doing his fellowship training with Dr. John Insall and his team in New York City.
His areas of specialty include: sports injuries, knee and shoulder arthroscopy, ligament reconstruction, cartilage restoration, partial and total knee replacement.
Spine surgeon Dr. Robert L. Masson, M.D., is an internationally recognized neurosurgeon specializing in minimally invasive spine surgery and sports spine medicine. Dr. Masson received his medical degree in biomedical engineering with honors from the University of Florida. He stayed in Gainesville for Neurological Surgery Residency, finishing in 1995 with special training in microneurosurgery and minimally invasive spine surgery. Dr. Masson has treated a variety of amateur, recreational, professional athletes, and Olympians representing players from the NFL, NBA, MLB, Indycar, IMSA, ATP, PGA/LPGA tours, US Soccer, UFC, US Boxing, U.S. Ski team, US Cycling and Wakeboarding teams, and is an expert consultant at Spine Health as it relates to sports and the fitness industry at large.
Dr. Seroyer is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon. He received his medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine. He completed residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and completed a sports medicine and shoulder reconstruction fellowship at Rush University in Chicago. He is Assistant Team Physician for the MLB’s Texas Rangers. He practices at the Texas Metroplex Institute (TMI) for Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Surgery.
Dr. Farhan Siddiqi is a board-certified spine surgeon and is dual fellowship-trained in both endoscopic spinal surgery and reconstructive spinal surgery. Dr. Siddiqi received his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College and completed his fellowship training by Dr. Paul McAfee, Professor, Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Siddiqi is a member of the North American Spine Society, Society for Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Siddiqi lectures throughout the country on the treatment of back and neck pain with less invasive options including stem cell transplant and endoscopic laser surgery.
