John Zutter, Chairman and CEO
John Zutter serves as Chairman and CEO of Employer Direct Healthcare. In addition to his role at Employer Direct, John serves as a Partner at Dundon Capital Partners, Employer Direct’s majority owner, where he is responsible for private equity and venture capital investment activities. Prior to his current roles, John served as an Executive Vice President at Santander Consumer USA and a Vice President at J.P. Morgan in New York. John earned his Bachelors in Political Science from Colgate University and lives in Dallas, Texas.
Jeff Vanderbilt, Chief Financial Officer
As Chief Financial Officer of Employer Direct Healthcare LLC, Jeff is responsible for all day-to-day accounting and financial reporting matters. Prior to his role at EDHC, Jeff served as SVP Controller at Santander Consumer USA, where he was responsible for managing the core functions of accounting operations and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and all accounting reporting processes. Jeff began his career with KPMG in Dallas, Texas where he served as Director of U.S. Capital Markets Group and Financial Due Diligence. He earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s in Accounting from Baylor University and is a certified public accountant.
Ryan Burke, Managing Director
As Managing Director of Employer Direct Healthcare LLC, Ryan is responsible for all business development and provider network activities. Ryan joined the company in 2014 with the primary responsibility of building a contracted network of highly qualified surgeons, anesthesiologists and facilities and in 2017 assumed responsibilities across all aspects of the companies business development. Ryan brings over 12 years of healthcare experience to the EDHC team in various business development leadership roles. Ryan earned his bachelors degree in Economics and Politics from Ohio Wesleyan University and holds a Masters of Business Administration.
Ryan Rostenkowski, Chief Operating Officer
Ryan serves as COO of Employer Direct Healthcare. Ryan oversees Employer Direct’s Care Advocacy, Account Management, Claims and Billing, Pricing and Analytics functions in addition to supporting the Company’s corporate strategy initiatives. In addition to his role at Employer Direct, Ryan serves as Vice President at Dundon Capital Partners, Employer Direct’s majority owner, where he supports the firm’s private equity and venture capital investment activities. Prior to his current roles, Ryan was an Associate at Quantum Energy Partners, a leading energy-focused private equity firm with more than $16 billion in equity commitments since inception. Ryan began his career as an Analyst in the Energy Investment Banking Group at Credit Suisse. Ryan holds a B.B.A. in Finance and B.S. in Economics from Southern Methodist University, where he graduated summa cum laude.
Doug Monkhouse, General Counsel
Doug Monkhouse serves as Employer Direct’s General Counsel, where he oversees all legal matters for all company departments. Before joining Employer Direct in 2019, Doug practiced as an attorney in the Dallas office of Bracewell LLP, where his experience spanned a range of transactions and disputes across numerous industries, including healthcare, finance, technology, real estate, energy, and infrastructure. Doug earned his Bachelor of Science at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, and earned his Juris Doctor from Baylor University School of Law in Waco, Texas, where he graduated with honors.
Ravi Kant, Chief Information Officer
As the Chief Information Officer for Employer Direct Healthcare, Ravi is focused on technology deliveries for business demands and oversees software, data and delivery teams. Prior to his role at Employer Direct, he served in various technology leadership positions at Santander Consumer USA, including Head of Innovation, Head of Digital Transformation and Director of Software Engineering. Ravi has vast experience in IT software development, program management, innovation and strategic consulting. Ravi earned his MBA in General Management from University of Texas in Austin and holds a Bachelor’s degree with honors in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Maharishi Dayanand University, India.
Jim Brewster, Chief Information Security Officer
Mr. Brewster serves as Chief Information Security Officer and Chief Technology Officer. Prior to his role at Employer Direct, Jim served as SVP IT Engineering and Operations at Santander Consumer USA where he was responsible for managing all technology infrastructure and operations functions, and security administration. Mr. Brewster has held IT development, operational, and management positions at General Dynamic, American Airlines, Micrografx, AnswerSoft, AMX, and Sabre. Mr. Brewster holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kansas and lives in Dallas, Texas.
Noah Rosenberg, MD, MBA, Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Rosenberg serves as Chief Medical Officer for Employer Direct Healthcare. In this role, he is responsible for member services, provider credentialing, outcome review, and CareCentral. Dr. Rosenberg is board certified in family medicine, and practices in a charity clinic for uninsured adults in Dallas, TX. He completed his undergraduate degree at Pomona College, where he was elected to Sigma Xi, the scientific honor society. Dr. Rosenberg received his MD from the University of Massachusetts Medical School (UMMS) with election to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He then completed residency at UMMS, where he served as chief resident. After residency, he obtained an MBA from Harvard Business School while practicing as a hospitalist. Dr. Rosenberg enjoys teaching the next generation of doctors and has been an assistant professor at UMMS and Tufts University School of Medicine. He has received national awards for his work in patient safety and has published papers in numerous peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Rosenberg joined Employer Direct Healthcare from Steward Health Care, where he was the Associate Chief Medical Officer for the hospital system.
Marc Dean, MD, Co-Chair, Medical Advisory Board
Dr. Dean serves as co- chief medical officer for Employer Direct Healthcare with overall responsibility for client and product development strategies, providing medical case oversight, provider quality assurance, and participation in our medical advisory board.
Dr. Dean is a Board Certified otolaryngologist, practicing full time in private practice in Fort Worth, Texas, specializing in ear and sinus disease and disorders of the eustachian tube. He attended Baylor University for his undergraduate studies in bioinformatics, Texas Tech for his medical training and completed his residency program and fellowship at LSU-Shreveport with a specialization in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery (HNS). Dr. Dean served as assistant professor for three additional years at LSU-Shreveport and continued to serve on the LSU facility as a clinical professor. He currently serves as a clinical professor at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.
Dr. Dean has been annually named one of America’s Best Doctors and currently serves in a consultant or advisory role for various companies including Medioptic, Hammes Company, MDStart, BioInspire, VSee and Acclarent (a Johnson & Johnson company). Dr. Dean serves as President and CEO of the VIMA, a non-profit organization focusing on the integrating new technologies to develop novel medical therapies and paradigms. In that capacity, he has taught, lectured and lead mission trips to multiple countries providing free information to doctors and necessary medical treatment to those in need.
Jennifer L. Cook, MD, Co-Chair, Medical Advisory Board
Dr. Cook serves as co- chief medical officer for Employer Direct Healthcare. Her responsibilities include: developing both client and product strategies, providing medical case oversight and provider quality assurance, and participating in our medical advisory board.
Dr. Cook is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon and senior partner at her private practice, Florida Joint Care Institute, where she has completed over 5,000 surgeries. After graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University of Michigan with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, she attended the Health Sciences and Technology Program of Harvard and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, earning a Medical Doctorate Degree from both institutions. She completed her Orthopaedic Residency at the Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Program where she was appointed Chief Resident and went on to complete the prestigious Insall Scott Kelly fellowship in adult reconstruction and sports medicine in New York City.
Dr. Cook has published articles in prominent Orthopaedic journals on topics such as minimally invasive surgery. Her areas of expertise include primary and revision knee replacements, hip and shoulder arthroplasty, minimally invasive surgery, arthroscopy of the knee and shoulder, ligament reconstruction, cartilage restoration, and fracture management.
