EDHC Appoints Molly Sandvig as Executive Vice President of Provider Relations

Employer Direct Healthcare announced today the appointment of Molly Sandvig as executive vice president of employee relations. In this role, Ms. Sandvig will have overall responsibility for provider strategy, contracting, quality assurance and advocacy.

Ms. Sandvig draws on more than 10 years of experience establishing and maintaining relationships with the highest quality facilities and physicians across the county. Prior to her appointment, she served as the executive director of Physicians Hospitals of American (PHA), the trade association representing the interests of physician owned hospitals across the country. From 2005 through 2010, Ms. Sandvig held the position of Executive Director of Physician Hospitals of America (PHA), the trade association representing the interests of physician owned hospitals across the country. An established figure on Capitol Hill, Ms. Sandvig led PHA's political advocacy efforts, fundraising, membership recruitment, public relations, as well as its day-to-day business and operational functions.

Ms. Sandvig served three terms as a Governor appointed member of the South Dakota Healthcare Commission, functioning as co-chair of the Subcommittee on Universal Healthcare Access, and a member of the Transparency, and the Drug and Pharma Subcommittees. In addition, she has operated as general counsel for hospitals, and has extensive experience in hospital and ambulatory surgery center development as a former vice president of Surgical Management Professionals, a mid-west based healthcare development/management company. 

Ms. Sandvig received her J.D.  with honors in 1997 from the University of South Dakota School of Law.
