First Employer Direct Healthcare Event In North Little Rock, Arkansas

30-Sep-2011

Employer Direct Healthcare is pleased to announce the first of its kind Employer Direct Healthcare event in North Little Rock, AR on May 24, 2011. The event will be held in coordination with Arkansas Surgical Hospital and Arkansas Heart Hospital, two of the premier healthcare centers within EDHC. The agenda will emphasize how employers with self-funded health plans can lower their healthcare costs while providing high quality healthcare to their employees.

We are excited to launch this national healthcare product with two great facilities like Arkansas Surgical Hospital and Arkansas Heart Hospital. This is the first in a series of employer direct healthcare events around the country where we can demonstrate how employer direct healthcare works,” says Ken Erickson, CEO of National Surgery Network.

Carrie Helm, CEO of Arkansas Surgical Hospital says “ASH has wanted to reach the self-funded employer because we have a high quality, cost efficient hospital. EDHC makes it possible by acting as the interface and platform to reach this market.”

Employer Direct Healthcare addresses one of the most important issues in our healthcare system today: rising healthcare costs and a lack of transparency. EDHC contracts with high-volume, high-quality facilities for all-inclusive case rates that represent a huge savings opportunity for employers. “This is a roll-out of employer direct healthcare where we allow employers to take control of the costs of surgeries, such as heart and joint procedures, which are a major component in the overall health plan expenditure.” says Erickson. “We provide the services that make it all possible. It’s a win-win situation for the provider, employer, and employee.
