EDHC Chooses Austin, TX for Headquarters

Employer Direct Healthcare, a company moving self-funded employer health plans in a new direction, has moved into new space at 7320 N. Mopac, Suite 201 in Austin, Texas for its corporate headquarters.
"This move underscores our commitment to the future growth of our company," said Ken Erickson, CEO of Employer Direct Healthcare. "We believe Austin’s innovative business culture is the ideal environment in which we can grow and thrive as a true employer-direct network for self-funded employer health plans."
Erickson believes Austin’s pool of highly skilled employees will provide the company with the talent it needs to further its mission of reducing employer dependence on traditional health plans, and the skyrocketing costs that go along with them. “Austin is more than a hub for technology. It’s a center for innovation. Our company is all about innovation, so it’s a perfect fit,” concluded Erickson.
The company also just closed on $500,000 in strategic funding. They expect to hire 15 people in the next three months, and to continue to expand throughout 2011, expanding to 50 employees by the end of next year.
